The 8th Place
This is a consultation focusing on the 8th house, which has a content warning of death, grief and emotional pain. Grief, sorrow, pain, loss undoubtedly leads to transformation in a natives life. The 8th house is a portal into that painful metamorphosis. This house is opposite the 2nd house, which is known as the Gate of Hades, or the doors that open up Hell, the material plane where lust, hunger, drive and assets lie. The 8th is contrary to that, its the door that opens up Heaven but from Hell, the letting go of the material and climbing up to God, which leads to the 9th house, the workings of Gods imagination through religious scripture and travel, stemming from the 7th house, relationship bonds and intimate mind connection. The 2nd house is when the horizon lifts after the baby takes their first breath and is introduced to comfort and care, swaddled in a blanket and fed, while the 8th is setting into the darkness the last light before shadowy dusk. Its a final breath and a last scream before seeing the eyes of Death. Valens calls the 8th house the Idle Place, like a graveyard where things become rotten and decayed. Its also the place of waiting and patience, and sometimes the 8th house never even comes into a persons life. Some Hellenistic astrologers say that the 8th house has the power to nullify planets in the house, which is common, but unusual. Other Hellenistic astrologers called this place Argos, which means shinning, this can possibly just be the literal look of the 8th house due to the space taken up refers to the blaring sun before dusk. Money without effort is found here as well, due to the circumstances surrounding what death means to a native, sometimes death means gain, sometimes loss. Although death isn't always literal, there will be a time in everyone lives where the experience is met.
